The methods and practices in communication research have been diversified in recent years. This has happened, among other things, because the communication scenario itself is in a process of incessant change. In this context, specific methodologies for research in the area of communication have become essential guides when facing academic and professional challenges in this field. This new issue of the journal Comunicación y Métodos includes a series of research studies that provide this type of tools, with the hope that they will also serve as methodological inspiration and guide to the rest of the communication researchers.
